BT Wholesale announces that Operator Connect for Teams – the solution that integrates digital voice services into Microsoft Teams – is now available to order via Microsoft’s AppSource store. It makes it even easier to access the combination of UCaaS capabilities plus regular phone calls, meaning channel partners can offer seamless ways of working, increased productivity and greater cost efficiency to customers.
With over 350 million Teams users globally, but only 20 million that are telephony-enabled1, Operator Connect offers channel partners a gateway into this huge market. More than 2 million new Operator Connect users are forecast to be deployed in the UK market over the next five years, creating a direct annual revenue opportunity of more than £12m1.
As legacy infrastructure ages, the urgency for technology providers and resellers to embrace next-generation communications services such as Operator Connect is growing. The move to digital services is being accelerated by the PSTN switch-off in 2027. As the copper PSTN network becomes increasingly difficult to maintain – the number of significant PSTN resilience incidents increased sharply by 45% last year – offering All-IP solutions will be essential to stay ahead.
