What is SmartAgent
SmartAgent is a new tool that was launched in July 2006 on the Broadband community pages of BTWholesale.com that helps customers to navigate the broadband pages quickly and effortlessly.
SmartAgent operates through a pop up window and the ‘Virtual Assistant’ Jenny will provide information to users against their Broadband specific queries in addition to displaying the relevant broadband webpage in the background.

Good Practice for using SmartAgent
To view all available information on the Broadband community pages the user must have applied for access to view secure Broadband content.
As SmartAgent is deployed on the Broadband community pages, to get maximum benefit from SmartAgent it is advised that you have:
1. Registered for access to BTWholesale.com
2. Logged in to BTWholesale.com
3. Register for access to secure Broadband content
To register for access to secure Broadband content, log on to BTWholesale.com and then select 'Subscribe to other Applications' link from the 'Applications' section of the Customer Zone page. You will then be directed to the Enhanced Services page where you can select Broadband Content from the list and submit your request.
Please Note: Broadband Secure content is only accessible by BT Wholesale Broadband customers, their Account teams and eligible Internal BT employees only.
It is also advisable to ask SmartAgent questions rather than just use key words.
Benefits
SmartAgent will be constantly monitored and updated. If a question is asked that SmartAgent cannot answer, this will be highlighted to the SmartAgent project team and if appropriate an answer will be loaded at the earliest opportunity.
By analysing usage of SmartAgent we are also able to identify content that is of most importance to you and to identify any gaps that may currently exist on the Broadband community pages.
If SmartAgent is proved successful it will be rolled out to further areas on BTWholesale.com.
