Specially created for mobile operators, this service uses global positioning satellites to locate precisely where an emergency mobile call is coming from. This makes it a valuable addition to your portfolio both in demonstrating your commitment to customer care and in forming the basis for the launch of other mobile location based services.
Using a transmitting device installed in the mobile owner's vehicle, GPES generates two calls:
- A voice call to the emergency operator.
- A data call that provides the geographical co-ordinates of the caller's position. It can also forward other useful information, like the make and model of the vehicle and a description and details of any known medical conditions of the usual driver.
