BT Transact is Europe's leading online marketplace for indirect procurement. Based on the simple idea of bringing together buyers and suppliers so that they can trade online rapidly and effectively, it's also designed to help entrepreneurs create and launch new e-procurement markets.
There are three kinds of BT Transact services:
- For buyers: Commerce One Enterprise Buyer Desktop
- This solution streamlines and automates the entire purchasing process by presenting authorised buyers within a company with a single catalogue containing only approved products from preferred suppliers at pre-negotiated prices. It is designed to make procurement more cost effective and to prevent "rogue spending" outside the preferred supplier system.
- For sellers: Commerce One Supply Order, Commerce One XPC & Supply Gateway
- This solution presents a company's products in an easily accessible international catalogue. This catalogue can be circulated to other major companies around the world, via the Global Trading Web Association (GTWA), the world's largest business-to-business e-trading community.
- For market makers: modular and bespoke solutions. For companies interested in creating a new, online, business-to-business marketplace, BT Transact offers a range of modular and bespoke products and services, including site hosting and management.
