BT Wholesale (BTW) has decided to re-arrange the IPstream product to offer a new interconnect option for CPs.
Ipstream Connect is a product that provides the option to pick up broadband traffic at the IPstream Broadband Remote Access Server (BRAS) node. The interconnect at the BRAS node will form a new Equivalence of input (EoI) point within the service, in addition to the existing EoI point for IPstream consuming SMPF from Openreach.
The IPstream Connect is made up of two components, the end-user access and the handover and it gives CPs the option to take end-user traffic off at the BRAS node (via the IPstream Connect Handover component) and transport it to their own or a third party backhaul network.
