Interconnect

• Customer Sited Interconnect (CSI)
  

  CSI provides physical access to a BT switch to enable you to benefit from Call Origination and Call Termination on BT's network. BT provides the capital investment to bring the product into service.

• Direct Access
  

  Direct Access enables you to transfer a range of Freephone, low-cost or premium rate calls to the BT network. These calls can then be routed to BT customers or to other BT services.

• Flat Rate Internet Access Call Origination (FRIACO)
  

  FRIACO offers you a fixed cost for moving data over the standard BT PSTN. Helping you to sell fixed cost internet connection packages to customers who, for example, cannot obtain broadband or who are satisfied with the lower speeds

• IP Exchange
  

  IP Exchange - providing a communications clearing house from BT Wholesale. Offering robust interoperability services, combining the unique benefit of financial settlement services for call termination with the simplicity of having to deal with one supplier.

• In Span Interconnect (ISI)
  

  ISI provides physical access to a BT exchange to enable you to benefit from Call Origination and Call Termination on BT's network. Operational costs are kept low as infrastructure is built collaboratively.

• Indirect Access
  

  Indirect Access provides you with the opportunity to offer a telephony call service to your customers, without the need to extend your own network to your customer's premises. Your customers will need to have a BT telephone line.

• Interconnect Extension Circuit (IEC)
  

  IEC provides you with the ability to extend the reach of your network to a remote BT switch location via BT's network.

• International Facilities Access
  

  If you have capacity on UK terminating sub-sea cable or satellite systems, IFA allows you to link to your UK network point of presence (POP).

• MSIL (Ethernet)
  

  Ethernet Multi-Service Interconnect Link (Ethernet MSIL) is a BT Wholesale product to interconnect BT’s 21CN with other Communications Provider’s equivalent network.

• Transit
  

  Transit traffic consists of calls, which pass through BT’s trunk network on a route between one Communication Provider (CP) switch and another. The BT Transit service meets the customer need for connectivity with all other CPs and avoids the need for direct interconnection

• Virtual Interconnect Circuit (VIC)
  

  VIC provides an operationally efficient alternative to physical interconnects at Digital Local Exchanges (DLEs). Under BT's 21CN programme, DLEs will close and calls will be physically delivered to a Next Generation Switch (NGS).
