Customer Sited Interconnect (CSI) provides you with the ability to offer PSTN (Public Switch Telephone Network) telephony and data services to your customers, via a 2Mbit/s connection between a BT switch and your switch.  You can then benefit from Call Origination and Call Termination on BTs PSTN network.

  • This product offers a two way connection between you and BT, with both parties contending for these circuits. The circuit rentals are cost shared in relation to the ownership of the calls carried.
  • CSI offers a resilient and flexible network with national coverage to BTs PSTN network and access to BT interconnect and transit call charges.
  • BT provides the capital investment and installs all the cables and transmission equipment necessary to bring the product into service. 

 

To complete your CSI interconnection, 2 Mbit/s Intra-Building Circuits (IBCs) are also required at the BT exchange to provide connectivity to the BT switch. Separate charges apply for the IBC.

 

In-Span Interconnect (ISI) is an alternative option to CSI.
