The concept of contract rationalisation was initially proposed by Communication Providers and the UK Competitive Telecommunication Association (UKCTA), in order to simplify BT contracts. The initiative involves having just a single set of ‘umbrella’ terms and conditions (“Master Services Agreement”), which covers clauses common to the majority of agreements.
