Verizon has announced the launch of a new cloud-based Computing as a Service (CaaS) solution.
The comprehensive, on-demand product is aimed specifically at enterprises and business customers.
It is hoped that this will better allow them to efficiently make use of cloud computing technology to manage their IT resources in a secure and effective manner.
This will them enable them to meet day-to-day business demands while only paying for the resources used.
Nancy Gofus, senior vice president of global product development at Verizon, said: "With Verizon CaaS, we are ushering in a new era of computing - one that offers enterprises security, resiliency and scalability on demand with a whole new level of flexibility and a low cost structure."
In other Verizon-based news, the company has just finished the successful trial of 100G optical service with Janet, the UK's National Research and Education Network.<br/>
