HP makes use of virtualisation with new products


Computer software manufacturer HP has extended the workstation products it has on offer to enterprises.

Using Windows Embedded with management support for Windows Server 2008, the 4410t mobile workstation will be the leading product.

The solutions will run on basic hardware and use a central server for the majority of storage and computing tasks.

They are have also risen in popularity recently because they rely on a single virtualised server which allows client systems to improve network security and data protection.

Carol Hess-Nickels, HP's director of worldwide business notebook marketing, said: "We're offering businesses a highly secure, manageable and easy-to-deploy virtualisation solution that combines HP's industry-leading thin client and notebook technologies."

HP provides computing solutions for small to medium-sized businesses which include IT infrastructure plus global services and image and printing solutions.

It also caters for personal computing and access devices.<br/>
