Company websites 'should be attractive to consumers'

Businesses should make sure that their websites are attractive to consumers and get people excited about their brand, it has been claimed.

According to Hostway, internet pages should be engaging to customers, especially if it is something such as a clothing company where people will want to see close-up images of the purchases they may be making.

Thomas Herbert, product manager at Hostway had some advice to businesses saying that they need to "provide the content that will allow customers to see your product as close as you can".

Websites should also be designed to "try and introduce them to other products and get them excited about your brand".

The Deloitte Christmas Survey 2008 recently revealed that although consumer spending is expected to drop by seven per cent this year, there is an increase in the number of people buying their presents online.<br/>
