Outsourcing Industry Outlook 'Remains Positive'

The outsourcing industry will grow over the next 18 months, despite the downcast economic climate, an outsourcing company has claimed.

According to ITC Infotech, a great number of organisations are coming under increasing stakeholder pressure to outsource parts of their operations in order to cut costs and remain profitable.

The claims support previous reports, which suggested that IT services companies are continuing to enjoy strong growth, even though most other services companies are struggling.

"Outsourcing is growing fast, but this will change and the market will get significantly larger with more companies looking at alternatives to reduce costs and boost the bottom line," said Hardeep Garewal, president of strategic accounts at ITC Infotech.

He predicted that, although there has been a significant shit in the industry, outsourcing's biggest growth is still to come.

Meanwhile, research from outsourcing company ITlab suggests that small and medium enterprises have the most to gain by outsourcing mission-critical IT systems, and could transform the way they do business.<br/>
