Following consultation with Industry, BT Wholesale intends to deploy an additional CPS Gateway functionality effective from 08:00 Friday 5th January 2007. This development is intended to
enable the following:
• CPS Set-up orders (A-type) will be required for BT Retail Lines.
• WLR CPS Set-up orders (L-type) will be required for non BT Retail lines.
• For A-type orders the installation address postcode is the preferred method of validation,
• For L-type orders the existing post code validation will continue, (i.e. the Service Provider Registered Address).
• A new error code ‘97’ will be returned when a CPSO submits an L-type order for a non Service Provider line (i.e., BT Retail line).
[EC97 = ‘WLR CPS Set up order not allowed for a BT Retail line’]
There is no planned impact on orders during deployment as this work is intended to be carried out during non-working hours.
We will confirm the launch on Friday 22nd December 2006.
