BT is the force that built the UK’s biggest communications network. It’s a complex network, with a wide range of power equipment requirements. Many of the sites are security sensitive, critical to the successful running of the UK’s economy and administration.
Having an integrated workforce, capable of working on both the communications equipment and the power installation was useful to BT. Now we’ve taken that experience to a new level of flexibility so that you can draw on all our expertise for your own solutions.
What we offer
Extensive expertise with the design, supply and commissioning of power equipment for communications equipment installations.
- Pre-installation site survey, design, planning, site preparation and materials management.
- Complete installation including iron work, lighting, alarm systems, UPS, batteries and engine sets.
- Commissioning and acceptance testing.
- Equipment recovery services - decommissioning, dismantling, disposal and scrap.
- Power restoration services including connection of standby units and fault management.
Our approach
We use 200 power engineers with many trained as commissioning engineers. They can provide a full on-site turnkey solution whatever the power technology.
Behind the main installation work we have capabilities to deliver project management, planning, stores management, design and consultancy, quality auditing, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and CDM (construction, design and maintenance) principal contractor services.
All work carries a 12-month warranty, reflecting a commitment to quality that has won us contracts in the most demanding environments. Where required we can supply staff with recognised security clearance, including DV and SC classification.
