Further to discussions at the Consult21 Interconnect Portfolio Working Group and at the Standard Contract Forum, this notice outlines the proposed process for notifying changes to the Standard Interconnect Agreement, and invites comments on the proposed General Contract Notice.
You will be aware of the Pathfinder proposals for the Cardiff area as the fore-runner for the migration to 21CN.
The closure of the DLEs and the progressive move of the BT Retail customers to service on BT’s next generation network, means that the contract documentation for some services under the Standard Interconnect Agreement (“SIA”) will need updating.

Historically a small percentage of calls terminated on BT’s VMP (Voice and Multi Media Platform) and due to the connectivity of this platform attracted a variable termination payment of single tandem or double tandem short, medium or long depending upon Operator connectivity etc.
BT is interested in hearing from Communications Providers (CP) at any time when they are concerned about or not satisfied with the way in which BT is delivering or complying with the BT Undertakings.
BT would like to announce some changes we have made to both the Carrier Price List (CPL) and the Service Provider Price List.
Please note that the introduction of Directory Enquiry 118049 service has now been cancelled by the code owner.
From the 27/10/2006, Communication Providers (CPs) will see a number of Geographic Number Portability (GNP) routing plans appear on the Routing Plan Database (RPD). No action is required by CPs.

On the 1st November 2006, BT launches the second and final phase of PPP (Product Management, Policy and Planning) billing system enhancements “PPP2 Single Charge Strategic Solution”.
