BT Wholesale

Compliance: our 'business as usual'

BT Wholesale's policy is to comply fully with the regulatory regimes under which the BT Group operates, while - at the same time - encouraging innovation and embodying BT’s competitive spirit.

BT Wholesale has a Compliance team which is responsible for ensuring that compliance is 'business as usual' and that best practice is employed and shared throughout BT Wholesale.

The compliance team's key activities include:

Training and communications

  • Investing in training and communications programmes to ensure that all BT Wholesale people understand their regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Keeping BT Wholesale's senior managers up to speed with the legal and regulatory changes affecting their business units.

Processes

  • Developing initiatives and programmes to ensure compliance in those markets in which BT is deemed to have 'significant market power' or deemed to be ‘of significance to other Communication Providers’.
  • Ensuring that regulatory compliance sign-off is a formal part of the delivery of key initiatives and processes.

Working with customers

  • The BT Wholesale Compliance team contact details are in our customers' Customer Service Plans, ensuring that they can contact us with any issues they may have.

If you have any queries about compliance or would like speak to BT Wholesale’s compliance team, please contact Kevin Lendor, Head of Wholesale Regulatory Compliance, on 01977 598638 or email Compliance@bt.com

The BT Undertakings Complaints Process

BT has put in place processes to ensure that any complaints raised by Communication Providers in relation to the Undertakings are managed effectively.

Issues relating to BT Wholesale or other areas of BT should be sent to compliance@bt.com.

Issues relating specifically to Openreach should be sent to equivalence@openreach.co.uk

If you remain dissatisfied with the resolution of a complaint that you have raised regarding the Undertakings, you can contact the Equality of Access Board (EAB) at eao@bt.com. Details of the EAB and the complaints handling arrangements can be found at www.bt.com/eab.
The role of the EAB is to monitor, advise and report on BT’s compliance with the Undertakings.
