BT Wholesale

Planned New Broadband Price Structure

BT is committed to promoting a sustainable and competitive wholesale communications market in the UK. Our products already enable wide choice and flexibility for Communication Providers in how they bring services to their customers. Depending on the services you wish to provide, your commercial preference and level of access to alternative networks, you can chose from a whole range of delivery mechanisms that involve BT to a greater or lesser degree.

As part of this commitment and following extensive customer and stakeholder meetings, we have reviewed our current broadband pricing. On 13th November 2006, we provided you with details of our plans for future broadband pricing.

Taken overall, the proposed pricing changes have been designed to reduce your average wholesale cost per end user. We also believe that this will provide you with more competitive opportunities for long term market growth through greater choice, flexibility and value wherever your end user customers are located in the UK.

We have also provided indicative pricing for the planned trial of Wholesale Broadband Connect (WBC) - a new product being developed to use our 21st Century Network.

We intend to introduce the changes to the BT Datastream and BT IPstream products from 1st May 2007, subject to BT’s ongoing legal and regulatory obligations and commitments.
