BT Wholesale

Broadband service availability

BT has created a dedicated area within BTWholesale.com to provide key information for CPs on service availability and service retirement in order to help them with their business and marketing planning. This includes service availability dates for new 21CN services at given exchanges by service type, service interconnect node names and availability dates and service retirement. In addition, but subject to special clearance, will be the availability of exchange address and network inventory information. This information has been labelled as datasets and has previously only been made available via the Network Information Publication Principles (NIPP) portal.

The summary of the available data is as follows:

Service availability schedules (available to all):

  • Service availability dates for new 21CN services at given exchanges by service type.
  • Service interconnect node names and availability dates are included.

Service retirement schedule (available to all):

  • Dates/windows (as appropriate) of service retirements including withdrawal from sale and cessation of supply by service type at given exchanges [not yet defined but info is available in secure members area of the Consult21 website].

Exchange location information (only available to CPs with category B level clearance from CPNI*):

  • Address information for given exchanges.

Network inventory information (only available to CPs with Category A level Clearance from CPNI* and/or Interconnect agreements with BTW):

  • network structure and mapping information in support of CPs’ interconnection requirements with BT’s network

Further improvements will be delivered once the basic implementation has occurred, and we would welcome your feedback to help us with this.

In addition, a series of maps have been created that provide a visual representation of potential end user coverage for next generation broadband in the UK in the next few years. These may be found at: Broadband maps.
