Fault Diagnostics contains tools for service providers to test various aspects of the xDSL BT IP stream circuit from the IP layer down to the physical (Copper) layer. These tools can also be used for some Datastream diagnostics. These tests will help identify if there is a fault and where it may be.
Accessing Fault Diagnostics
Fault Diagnostics can be accessed in two different ways, via BTWholesale.com or via a B2B interface directly into our systems.
How do I use Fault Diagnostics?
Training is available on this website via a CBT package.
To access Fault Diagnostics,
- Register on this site if you haven't got an account
- Log in
- Once you're logged in click on the "Subscribe to other applications" link. Tick the box for "Fault Diagnostics" and submit.

Please note that BTWholesale can only offer Fault Diagnostics to service providers with whom we have a current contract to supply broadband services. BT cannot provide Fault Diagnostic services to third parties or resellers.
